Game Drives in Etosha National Park and its popular floodlit waterholes to view nocturnal animals. Optional activities like sand boarding, quad biking, sky diving and dolphin cruise in the coastal town of Swakopmund. Visiting the Namib Desert, Dune 45, Sesriem Canyon and Sossusvlei.

ITINERARY:

Day 1: WINDHOEK TO ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

Your tour guide will pick you up at your accommodation 08h30 and we will head north towards to Etosha National Park, “the great white place of dry water”, which offers a variety of wildlife. Our 2 nights in Etosha will be either at Okaukuejo or Halali (subject to animal movements), where a floodlit waterhole allows for 24-hour game viewing. Elephant and black rhinoceros are seen daily during the dry winter months and numerous other game species are also found here.

MEALS INCL: n/a – clients own expense.
(Lunch can be enjoyed at a coffee shop in the town of Otjiwarongwe/Outjo and dinner can be enjoyed at the restaurant in the National Park.)

DAY 2: ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK GAME DRIVE

We undertake an early morning and later afternoon game drives through the park as we gaze in awe at the vast expanse of the Etosha Pan, itself shimmering in the midday heat. Ostrich appear like moving black dots as they wander around miles out on the salt pan. The afternoon we have time to relax at the swimming pool or view animals drinking water at the campsite’s waterhole.

MEALS INCL: Breakfast and Lunch.
(Dinner can be enjoyed at the restaurant in the National Park.)

DAY 3: ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK TO SWAKOPMUND

Departing the Park with a game drive towards the exit gates, heading towards the coastal town of Swakopmund, where we will be spending 2 nights. Both evening meals at local restaurants on clients own expense.

MEALS INCL: Breakfast
(Lunch can be enjoyed at a coffee shop enroute to Swakopmund or at Swakopmund and dinner at lots of restaurants to choose from.)

DAY 4: SWAKOPMUND

Optional Activity day. This day is a free day, opportunity to partake in optional adventure activities like Quad Biking, Sand Boarding, Sky diving and Dolphin Cruise. If you do not feel adventurous you can do shopping or visit the Crystal Gallery, Museums or the Aquarium by foot.

DAY5: SWAKOPMUND TO NAMIB NAUKLUFT PARK

Leaving the coastal town of Swakopmund we include a visit to the Walvis Bay lagoon, famous for its large numbers of flamingos before we head toward the Namib Desert. Some scientists regard the Namib Desert as the oldest in the world. We will travel via the Kuiseb Canyon, home to two Germans and their dog for two years during World War 2. It’s a 5 hour scenic drive to our next accommodation on the outskirts of the Namib Naukluft Park.

DAY6: DUNE 45 AND SOSSUSVLEI

Pre dawn we depart to the entrance gates to Sossusvlei. We have some nice opportunities to stop on the way next to the road for beautiful photographic moments capturing the sunrise on the Dunes. A climb up the sand dunes will give a superb view up and down of the Tsaucab River Canyon which forms the valley between the famous sand dunes. Your guide will set up breakfast and prepare coffee at the bottom of the dune. After breakfast we take a short drive to the parking lot where you will undertake a 2 hour walk through to the beautiful Hiddenvlei in the Sossusvlei Area. We stop for lunch at Sesriem camp, after which we will go and explore the Sesriem Canyon by foot, before heading back to our Guest Farm.

DAY 7: NAMIB NAUKLUFT PARK TO WINDHOEK

After a relaxing start we head back to the capitol of Windhoek, expecting to arrive in the afternoon. Tour Ends

WHATS INCLUDED:

All safaris are sold as fully inclusive packages and include the following:

  • All transport accommodation and National Park entrance fees.
  • Meals as stated on the itinerary which is included. (Meals that is not included is on clients own expense to pay in restaurant.)
  • Meals can be either in Lodge restaurants or Guides makes meals on the fire.
  • The services of a trained safari guide.
  • Cordial Juice, Coffee and Tea with included meals.

  • Flights, Visas and Insurance , Alcohol, Soft Drinks and Bottled Water, Tips, Gratuities, Spending money and all other items of a personal nature.

The indication in the itinerary of what type of accommodation is provided each day are guidelines only and are used to give an idea of the accommodation offered, rather that and exact description. Please keep in mind however that standards can vary from one trip to the next, and occasionally we may need to change a night-stop without advance warning. We cannot guarantee the use of particular properties. Facilities and characteristics may vary from those described.

CH - Comfortable Hotels, Lodges or Guest Houses with twin or single rooms and en suite facilities. Generally good levels of service and often added amenities such as restaurant, bar, swimming pool and garden.

SH - Standard Hotels, Lodges or Guest Houses, usually with twin or single rooms and en suite facilities. These are generally standard, no-frills hotels perfectly accepted to most, do not expect too much. These are often small, family run establishments.

Namibia has a good tourism infrastructure and generally good service standards. Throughout this trip we stay in comfortable lodges which are simple, comfortable and clean. Minimum group sizes 2 for Accommodated Tours and 3 for all Camping Tours. Maximum group size 12

Transport for 2 -3 clients will be in Toyota 4x4 Hilux or Mercedes Benz Sprinter. 3 and more clients, transport will be either in Mercedes Benz Sprinter or Custom Build Safari Truck.
