Safari Overview

2 x Nights visit to the Etosha National Park, with unique game viewing experience, especially with your local tour guide, who just know where the best and busiest waterholes is on your game drives. 1 x night at one of the greatest attractions in the northern central of Namibia, 50km long and 16km wide table mountain, the Waterberg Plateau.

Highlights

The Etosha Pan is the biggest tourist attraction in Namibia, but the animals roaming the 22 000-square kilometer of wilderness of grasslands and woodland savanna, is the real showstoppers which you will experience on this safari. Many travelers pass it, little do they know what they are missing, the Waterberg Plateau towering 200 meters higher than the surrounding plains.

If you are more than 2 that want to travel with "Just Your Own Group", please do let us know and we work out a discounted rate for 3 & more travelling together.

Transport

  • Transport for 2 - 3 clients will be in 4x4 Toyota Cruiser.
  • 4 and more clients, transport will be in a custom build Safari Truck.

Day 1 - Windhoek to Etosha

Your tour guide will meet you at your pre tour accommodation from 07h00 and from here we head north, towards the Etosha National Park for 2 days of game viewing. Our overnight stop in Etosha will be either at Okaukuejo, Halali or Namutoni (depends on availability), all of them with floodlit waterholes allowing for 24-hour game viewing. Elephant and black rhinoceros are seen daily during the dry winter months and numerous other game species are also found here, including lion and leopard.

Day 2 - Etosha National Park

Game driving slowly through the park we gaze in awe at the vast expanse of the Etosha Pan, itself shimmering in the midday heat. Ostriches appear like moving black dots as they wander around miles out on the salt pan. The diversity of habitats attracts a wide variety of birds and to date about 392 species have been recorded.

ACCOMMODATION: *CH – Okaukuejo, Halali or Namutoni (we will try to stay inside the park, if this is not possible, due to availability – we will stay outside the park)

Day 3 - Etosha National Park

Day 4 - Etosha National Park to Waterberg Plateau

On our journey to Waterberg, we will stop in the town of Otjiwarongwe.If you are flying out in the next 72 hours, we will stop at Pathcare, where you will be able to do your PCR test, which is needed before boarding your flight. These tests usually take 24 hours, meaning tomorrow you will have your test results. We continue 115km to the Waterberg Plateau National Park, which in 1972 was proclaimed a reserve and has since become a sanctuary for several rare animals, including eland (Africa’s largest specie of antelope) white and black rhino and the endangered cape vulture. The park centres on a plateau of compacted Etjo sandstones, some 250m high. This park is unusual in that you can’t drive yourself around, instead you must undertake one of the park’s organised game Drives. But for keen walkers, the afternoon can be spent to undertake one of the wilderness trails up the plateau to the lookout point, with fascinating views of the region.

Day 5 - Waterberg back to Windhoek

After enjoying breakfast, we slowly drive back to Windhoek via Okahandja, stopping at the local craft market for those last-minute gifts and reminders of this amazing memories of you last few days of game driving on your safari tour.

* SH - Standard Hotels, Lodges or Guest Houses, usually with twin or single rooms and en-suite facilities. These are generally standard, no-frills hotels perfectly accepted to most, do not expect too much. These are often small, family run establishments.

* CH - Comfortable Hotels, Lodges or Guest Houses with twin or single rooms and en suite facilities. Generally good levels of service and often added amenities such as restaurant, bar, swimming pool and garden.

Namibia have good tourism infrastructure and generally good service standards. Throughout this trip we stay in comfortable lodges which are simple, comfortable, and clean.

All safaris are sold as a private fully inclusive package and include the following:

  • Service of a Trained Safari Guided Driver
  • Transport, accommodation, and all National Park Entrance Fees
  • Meals stated as on above itinerary
  • Meals can be either purchased picnic style lunch or at accommodation / Meals that are not included are on client’s own expense, budget +/- N$ 300.00 per person for dinner at parks restaurants and +/- N$ 150.00 per person for lunches.
  • Activities included as set out in above itinerary
  • Camping Options: All camping equipment for camping nights includes 2-man dome tent, which thick sleeping mattress with sleeping bag, pillow, tables, and chairs. Meals on camping can either be purchased picnic style meals or your guide will prepare at camp.

NOTE that alternative lodges can be used if the above lodges are fully booked.
